Join the Credit Unions Kids at Heart All-Ability Challenge for its second year, a virtual event and celebration of health and kindness to raise funds for Credit Unions Kids at Heart®. The charitable organization is committed to funding research activities aimed at the prevention, treatment, and/or cure of pediatric neurological diseases, including Moyamoya disease, Cerebral Palsy, pediatric brain cancer and pediatric epilepsy and other seizure disorders. These research projects are conducted at Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and their research affiliates. No funds are held by Credit Unions Kids at Heart to cover administrative costs or overhead.

Physical Challenges

Inspired and driven by our organization's mission to help children lead happy and healthy lives, this year the Credit Unions Kids at Heart community may select one or more physical challenges to complete during the All-Ability Challenge.

Adults may walk, run, or roll/race (wheelchair entrants) either 5 kilometers (approx. 3.1 miles) or 10 kilometers (approx. 6.2 miles) or may cycle (indoor or outdoor) 20 kilometers (approx. 12.4 miles).

Families with children under the age of 18 may do any of the challenges listed above and/or may walk, run, or roll/race 1 mile or cycle 5 kilometers.

You may also Set your own Challenge (e.g., jump rope, any fitness activity, play a number of golf holes in one day, etc.)

Acts of Kindness Challenge

Credit Unions Kids at Heart believes that together we can make the world a better place. The All-Ability Challenge participants are encouraged to complete acts of kindness in their community during the Challenge dates listed above in addition to or instead of the physical challenges.

Acts of Kindness may include intentional acts for a neighbor, friend, or the community. If helpful, we can provide a list of ideas. Participants may complete one good deed or many between the challenge dates, or may pursue a more formal service project.

If you prefer to complete a more formal service project, then you may contact a trusted volunteer agency to find virtual and/or in-person volunteering and service opportunities locally, many of which require no financial commitment.
