I am running the 2019 Boston Marathon!
Most of my family and friends know that I love a good Athletic Challenge, whether it be losing 90 pounds or running 50 miles any challenge I set my mind to I give it my all. But, running the Boston Marathon will be so much more for me than that. I am proud to say that I am running on the Credit Unions Kids at Heart team on behalf of Boston Children’s Hospital. We raise money for specific research: Moyamoya Disease, Sturge-Weber Syndrome, Pediatric Brain Cancer, Cerebral Palsy and Pediatric Epilepsy - The CU Kids at Heart Team does not take out any operating expenses - 100% of the funds we raise will go directly to the doctors and scientists performing this life saving/changing research.
What makes running the Boston Marathon even more meaningful is that I have the privilege of running in honor of my new friend Vraj. Vraj is the cutest little 7 year old boy, he faces many challenges each day, but, it doesn’t stop him! Vraj love to snuggle and cuddle, he loves music and horseback riding! I will be thinking of him every step of the way as I train and fundraise for my team and I am thankful that I have been given this opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children.
Please help my team and I in our fundraising efforts. Thank you, Matthew
